In a surprising incident at Chanchal College in Malda, a fake candidate attempting to take an examination in place of another student was apprehended. The incident occurred during the fifth-semester BA General examination for the Bengali subject. The imposter, Siddharth Shankar Das, presented himself as Pushpa Choudhary from Manikchak College. The exam center in-charge discovered the fraud shortly after the exam commenced and found a forged admit card during the investigation.
The fake candidate, Siddharth Shankar Das, had allegedly superimposed Pushpa Choudhary's photo on the admit card, while the attendance sheet displayed the real Pushpa Choudhary's photo and name. The imposter admitted to the allegations, stating that he took the exam on behalf of his physically ill sister, Pushpa Chaudhary.
